This psa 10 expedition pack is a sealed 2002 Expedition booster, graded a perfect PSA 10 and slabbed. PSA graded the pack itself, so the cards inside stay unopened and ungraded. Charizard art covers the wrapper, and that artwork never guarantees a Charizard card inside. Expedition is a different set from 1999 Base Set, so do not confuse the two.
The e-Series inside a psa 10 expedition pack
Expedition Base Set opened the English e-Series on September 15, 2002. Wizards of the Coast printed 165 cards for the set, with no 1st Edition run at all. Every card also carries e-Reader Dot Code strips along its borders. Swiping a card through the Nintendo e-Reader unlocked Pokédex data and minigames. The release waited for the e-Reader hardware, so the set arrived in September instead of May.
Nine cards, four wrappers
A psa 10 expedition pack holds nine cards, two fewer than a Base Set pack. Five commons arrive first, followed by two uncommons. One reverse holofoil comes next, then one rare or rare holo closes the pack. A regular holo lands in roughly one pack out of three. Wrappers came in four artworks: Charizard, Blastoise, Venusaur, and Feraligatr. The set’s Charizard cards are holo #6 and non-holo #39 and #40, and none is promised here. Pokémon’s official TCG page still covers the modern game. Our graded cards shelf holds more graded packs.

Frequently Asked
Does a psa 10 expedition pack guarantee a Charizard card?
No. Charizard is the wrapper artwork, and the nine cards inside stay random. The contents stay unknown until the pack opens; opening it, however, ends the grade.
Is Expedition the same as Base Set?
No. Expedition arrived in 2002 as the first e-Series set, three years after Base Set. Its cards carry e-Reader strips, and its packs hold nine cards instead of eleven.
