This sealed 2004 gift pack display holds pokemon ex deck tins from the early EX Series era. The tins released on October 25, 2004. They were the first Pokémon collector tins sold in more than one variation. Each tin also stands taller and thinner than modern tins. It fits a sleeved 60-card deck plus counters or coins. So the display suits vintage sealed collectors and Hoenn-era fans.
Inside each of the pokemon ex deck tins
Every tin holds one Cosmos Holofoil promo. The promo is one of four Hoenn cards: Treecko (016), Torchic (017), Mudkip (018), or Whismur (019). Each tin also holds 2 early EX Series booster packs with 9 cards per pack. A sticker sheet matches the tin’s artwork and completes the contents. Tin art comes in four types, borrowed from Japanese booster art of the era. The four artworks come from Japanese sets. They are Miracle of the Desert, Rulers of the Heavens, Magma vs Aqua: Two Ambitions, and Flight of Legends. Artwork collectors chase the full set of four for that reason. Pokémon’s official TCG page traces the game from these EX-era roots to today.
A display that almost never surfaces
Single tins from 2004 still surface often enough, but a sealed display of pokemon ex deck tins almost never lists. Most displays were broken down and sold tin by tin two decades ago. As a result, sealed survivors appeal to display collectors who build era-correct shelves. The four tin artworks also reward completionists who want the full art set. Our sealed products aisle holds the other sealed vintage stock.
