This sealed trainer deck b is Misty’s Deck, a ready-to-play 60-card deck from 1999. Wizards of the Coast produced it for Pokémon League play, in the Cerulean City Season. It was never sold in shops. Leagues received it before the game’s official North American launch, and only in limited numbers. So surviving sealed copies sit in a tiny class of Base Set history.
What makes this sealed trainer deck b different
Every card inside carries a unique red-bordered back printed with the words Trainer Deck B. No retail Base Set card looks like that. The deck also holds the only non-holofoil Blastoise Wizards ever printed. That single card is the chase. The rest of the list runs Water-heavy, as a Misty deck should: four Squirtle, two Wartortle, four Seel, four Staryu, and three Starmie. Pokémon’s official TCG page traces the game this deck helped launch.
A league artifact, not a retail product
Collectors buy a sealed trainer deck b for its story as much as its cards. The box was marked Not For Resale because shops never stocked it. Its sibling, Trainer Deck A, carries Brock’s Fighting deck and a non-holo Machamp instead. The two decks are different products, so do not mix their contents. Most B decks were opened by league kids decades ago. A sealed one preserves the full artifact, backs and all. Browse our sealed products if you collect early WOTC material. Most surviving decks show real league play wear today.
